Overview
Palliative care is an approach to boost the quality of life for the patients facing problems due to life-threatening diseases and of their relatives by diagnosing all physical -primarily pain-, psychosocial and mental problems early and preventing and eliminating them with effective evaluations.
The aim of palliative therapy is to make the patients with cancer feel as much better as possible, regardless of stage of cancer.
Palliative therapy can focus on physical, mental, psychological or social needs of the individual. Palliative therapy can be combined with curative therapy.
